EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

1. What motivated you to start a career in event planning and gift management?

From childhood, I have always been a detailed person. As I grew older, this developed into a passion for organizing things for people, which eventually became my flair for event planning. I started as K.K.T., rendering free services to people, especially during Christmas when I organized “Santa at Your Doorstep,” visiting families.
However, when it was time to officially register the company name, K.K.T. was already taken. After much deliberation, we settled on LATEETOH Events & Gift. A name my friend from France used to call me years back. That is how the brand was born, and today it is going places.

2. Can you share your vision behind LATEETOH Events & Gift, and what makes your brand stand out in the industry?

Passion drives everything we do at LATEETOH Events & Gift. We ensure that every event surpasses the last by consistently delivering value for money. Everyone is important to us, and we do not allow sentiment to influence vendor selection. LATEETOH is a calling, not just a business and we prioritize people first. Every client is treated like royalty.

3. As a Rotarian, how has your spirit of service shaped the way you run your business?

Rotary builds leaders. With the leadership training and call to service, I have learned to manage people better. It has helped me understand others, maintain healthy relationships, manage projects effectively, and give proper reports. Rotary has truly refined my leadership and service mindset.

4. What major challenges have you faced while growing your brand, and how did you overcome them?

The biggest challenge has been managing people, clients and team members who have different ideologies. Another challenge is convincing clients who already have their minds fixed on a certain vendor or dealing with family members who see hiring an event planner as unnecessary. We are, however, getting better at handling these situations.

5. With the rising cost of materials and logistics, how do you maintain high standards while keeping your services affordable?

We do our best to work within our clients’ budgets. Those who understand the quality of our service always return and refer others. We also remain reasonable with our charges and profit margin.

6. How do you blend creativity, culture, and professionalism in every event you organize?

I am an Owambe specialist. We incorporate culture and professionalism into every event without losing the essence and purpose of the celebration.

7. What key principles guide the way you treat your clients and sustain your journey as an entrepreneur?

Social media plays a huge role today. Each event gives birth to another, and every client becomes family, a marketer and supporter. We treat every client with respect, warmth, and professionalism.

8. Who are the mentors or personalities that have inspired your journey as an entrepreneur?

My number one mentor is God. My mother, a strong entrepreneur, also inspires me greatly. Everything around me motivates me. I don’t want to be like anyone else, just a better version of myself. I never look down on people.

9. How do you train and motivate your team to deliver excellence at every event?

Training is continuous. I constantly learn, retrain, and expose myself to growth opportunities. Whatever I learn, I pour into my team. This way, we grow together.

10. How do you use social media and digital platforms to promote LATEETOH Events & Gift?

We are active on all major social media platforms. We showcase our events and tell our stories as they unfold, keeping our audience engaged and updated.

11. Where do you see your brand in the next five years, and what are your future goals?

We aim to be globally recognized and to keep making meaningful impact. We have trained over 30 young ladies, many of whom now run outstanding brands such as J. Cure 3 Events, X Close Events, and others. Our goal is to empower even more young Nigerians.

12. What advice would you give to young women and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to succeed in the event and lifestyle industry?

Don’t compromise God and His standards because you want to go faster. My growth is a testament to my relationship with God and putting Him at the center of everything I do.
Yes, you need passion, creativity, consistency, and a commitment to solving problems but above all, you must let God lead you. This has been the main ingredient of what I have built my achievements on, alongside my tenacity, drive, integrity, attention to detail, and the things I never compromise.
When God leads you, He aligns you with the right people, the right opportunities, and the right seasons. Stay focused, keep learning, keep improving, and stay true to your values. Everything you’re pursuing will come in its time.

13. Looking back over the last 17 years, how would you describe the growth and journey of LATEETOH Events & Gift as you celebrate this milestone?

It has been fantastic because I love what I do. Many waters have passed under the bridge—we have failed, we have learned, but every time we rise stronger. We grow better each day and enjoy many returning clients. Above all, we return all glory to God.
