LAGOS — In a grand and emotionally resonant ceremony held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Excellence Hotel, Ogba, the Rotary Club of Omole Ojodu ushered in a new era of leadership as Rotarian Faith Akinsanya was officially installed as President for the 2025–2026 Rotary year.
The installation, attended by an esteemed gathering of Rotarians, dignitaries, guests, and well-wishers, marked a moment of pride, unity, and renewed commitment to the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self. Among the distinguished attendees were representative of the District Governor of Rotary District 9112, members of the Council of Past Presidents, and several prominent figures in the Rotary community.

Outgoing President Rotarian Henderson Bello, fondly known as “Hosker,” ceremoniously handed over the mantle of leadership following a remarkable tenure that defined the club’s “Magic Year” (2024–2025). His administration was lauded for a series of transformative service projects, dynamic outreach efforts, and a revitalized club spirit. Under his stewardship, the Rotary Club of Omole Ojodu experienced increased visibility, strategic partnerships, and meaningful impact in the local community.

The ceremonial handover included the symbolic exchange of the club’s Collarette and presidential regalia, with Akinsanya’s name added to the prestigious insignia of past presidents — a moment that drew emotional applause and signified continuity, trust, and legacy.
In her acceptance speech, President Akinsanya expressed deep gratitude to God, her family, and mentors who have guided her Rotary journey, notably Past President Ayo Sunday, PHF, and outgoing President Bello. She pledged to build on the solid foundation laid by previous administrations and lead with vision, inclusiveness, and purpose.

> “If Omole Ojodu is ready, then I am ready,” she declared to a standing ovation, signaling her readiness to steer the club into a new chapter of service excellence.
President Akinsanya unveiled a bold agenda for the year, promising a lineup of impactful humanitarian projects that align with Rotary’s core values and the needs of the community. She also extended an open invitation to prospective members and supporters to partner with the club in its mission to create lasting change.

The ceremony also featured a special awards segment recognizing outstanding contributions from key officers and active members who played pivotal roles during the outgoing administration.
With President Faith Akinsanya — fondly referred to as the “United President” — at the helm, members and stakeholders are optimistic about the future of the Rotary Club of Omole Ojodu. Her leadership promises continuity, innovation, and an unwavering focus on service.
