Rotarian Lanre Adedoyin, Immediate Past District Governor of Rotary International District 9112 and Principal Partner of T.L. Adedoyin & Co., has been honoured with the prestigious City People Special Leadership Award in recognition of his exemplary leadership and transformational contributions to Rotary during the 2025–2026 Rotary year.
The prestigious recognition celebrates a remarkable year of visionary leadership, purposeful service, and enduring humanitarian impact that further strengthened Rotary’s presence across Lagos and Ogun States.
Receiving the award with characteristic humility, Rotarian Adedoyin dedicated the honour to every Rotarian in District 9112, acknowledging that the district’s exceptional accomplishments were made possible through collective commitment, teamwork, and an unwavering passion for service.
“I am deeply grateful for this recognition, which truly belongs to every Rotarian in District 9112. Your excellent and unwavering support made our shared achievements possible. To God be all the glory,” he said.
As the second District Governor of the newly created Rotary International District 9112, following the 2024 realignment from District 9110, Adedoyin provided inspirational leadership that advanced Rotary’s mission of creating lasting change. His administration championed impactful initiatives in maternal and child health, disease prevention, environmental sustainability, education, economic empowerment, and the global fight against polio, while also recording impressive growth in Rotary Foundation giving, membership engagement, and service projects.
A distinguished legal practitioner and committed humanitarian, Adedoyin brought decades of Rotary experience to the office, having joined the organisation in the early 2000s and served faithfully in several strategic leadership positions, including Class Captain of Assistant Governors. His leadership style was marked by integrity, inclusiveness, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.
His dedication to Rotary extends beyond elected office. In a demonstration of extraordinary commitment to the organisation, he personally sponsored the legal incorporation of the predecessor district, further reflecting his long-standing investment in strengthening Rotary’s institutional legacy.
Colleagues, Rotary leaders, and members across District 9112 have continued to commend his administration for fostering unity, inspiring collaboration, and delivering impactful humanitarian projects that positively transformed communities. Today, District 9112, comprising approximately 93 clubs and more than 4,500 Rotarians, continues to build on the strong foundation established during his tenure.
