The event brought together cultural custodians, respected practitioners, and distinguished personalities in honour of the Exceptional Alaga Tribe, an institution committed to preserving Yoruba heritage while advancing leadership and professional excellence within the industry.

The evening commenced on a soulful and uplifting note with opening prayers and songs of praise, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. One of the most memorable highlights was the inspiring performance of the Alaga Industry Anthem, beautifully led by Foluke Akinpelu, a highly respected figure in the field. Guests were further treated to an engaging cultural display that showcased the rich traditions and values deeply rooted in the Alaga profession.

A major highlight of the evening was the official launch of The Alaga’s Tour Guide, a book authored by Amb. Dr. Deborah Olaoluwakitan Kolawole, the visionary founder of the Exceptional Alaga Tribe. In recognition of her immense contributions to the growth of the profession, the ceremony also featured the investiture of the tribe’s Patron and Matron. During her goodwill message, the Matron of the Exceptional Alaga Tribe, Mrs. Bola Okolie, encouraged members to continue upholding integrity, unity, and professionalism—values that remain the cornerstone of the founder’s vision.

Another major highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of The Exceptional Alagas Prestigious Merit Award for Societal Impact, given to individuals whose work has positively influenced the community and strengthened the values of service and leadership.
