AMB. (DR.) SIKIRU OMOGBOLAHAN ADISA BOBBY OSENI HONORED AS AMBASSADOR TO THE STATE OF ARKANSAS

A Defining Moment of Global Recognition, Cultural Diplomacy, and African Excellence

In an inspiring display of international honor, Ambassador (Dr.) Sikiru Omogbolahan Adisa Bobby Oseni, CEO of S.G. Multi-National Investment Limited LLC and President/Founder of the Dr. S.G. Oseni Foundation, was officially conferred with the title of Ambassador to the State of Arkansas, United States of America. This prestigious title — one of the highest civic recognitions in the state — was presented in acknowledgment of his exceptional contributions to diplomacy, global development, and humanitarian service.

The honor was conferred during the 20th Anniversary International Conference of the African Women’s Health Projects International (AWHPI), held from Thursday, July 10 to Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. The three-day global event was marked by powerful moments of leadership dialogue, cultural reflection, and international partnership.

A WARM WELCOME BY STATE OFFICIALS AND CITY LEADERS

Upon arrival on Thursday, July 10, Amb. (Dr.) Oseni and the distinguished African delegation were received at the Arkansas State Capitol, where they held high-level discussions with Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, State Senators, House Representatives, and key legislative stakeholders. This formal engagement emphasized the importance of international cooperation in areas such as health, development, and investment.

The delegates were also officially welcomed by Honourable Mayor Frank Scott Jr., who hosted a VIP reception at Little Rock City Hall, alongside the Little Rock Board of Directors, reinforcing the city’s commitment to fostering global partnerships and diplomacy.

CONFERENCE ON LEADERSHIP, DEVELOPMENT & TECHNOLOGY

The next day, Friday, July 11, featured a powerful lineup of activities beginning with a pre-conference session, followed by the main conference centered on the theme:

“Leadership, Economic Development, Information Technology, and Sustainable Global Wealth.”

The event attracted thought leaders, policymakers, and investors from across the U.S. and Africa. Notably, a Business Roundtable was held with top-tier entrepreneurs from Arkansas and the delegation of S.G. Multi-National Investment Limited LLC, where opportunities for transatlantic investment, trade collaboration, and economic empowerment were explored in depth.

CULTURE, HISTORY, AND SYMBOLIC TRIBUTES

A major cultural highlight of the conference was a guided heritage tour, including visits to the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, the Arkansas Black History Museum, and the revered Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site — a key location in U.S. civil rights history. The group reflected on the story of the Little Rock Nine, the brave African American students who stood against segregation in the 1950s, and whose legacy of resilience continues to inspire generations worldwide.

SATURDAY OF LEGACY: TREE PLANTING, TRIBUTES & GLOBAL HONORS

On Saturday, July 12, in a moment filled with symbolism and honor, Amb. Oseni and other dignitaries participated in a tree planting and flower-laying ceremony at Little Rock High School, commemorating two decades of the African Women’s Health Projects International’s commitment to women’s health and empowerment. The event was graced by Mayor Frank Scott Jr., religious leaders, community members, and received widespread media coverage from local TV stations and newspapers.

Later in the evening, a glamorous Gala Night and Awards Ceremony was held at Westwind, North Little Rock, where distinguished delegates were decorated with prestigious accolades, including the Presidential Medal of Honor and the Global Diplomatic Excellence Award.

A GLOBAL VISIONARY HONORED

The crowning moment of the evening was the formal conferment of Ambassador (Dr.) Sikiru O.A.B. Oseni as Ambassador to the State of Arkansas — a rare and highly symbolic distinction reserved for individuals whose work transcends borders and impacts global communities. His recognition reflects a legacy of strategic leadership, philanthropy, and visionary diplomacy.

Acknowledged by top U.S. leaders including Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the Mayor of Little Rock, State Senators, and House Representatives, Ambassador Oseni’s honor marks a new chapter in Africa-U.S. relations — powered by a shared dream of prosperity, peace, and purpose.

LOOKING AHEAD

With this historic recognition, Amb. (Dr.) Oseni further solidifies his role as a bridge-builder between nations. His continued commitment to economic empowerment, women’s health advocacy, youth development, and global investment partnerships is a beacon of hope and excellence for the African continent and the world at large.
