Give us a snap shot of your humble self? My name is Chief Mrs Omobolanle Olatise, I am from Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Happily married to Col. Oladipo Olatise. I am a UK based childcare and healthcare provider and one of the leading promoters in the UK. You are an entrepreneur with key skills in leadership, organization and innovation, how are you able to define many paths? This is God’s doing as I do not know how I do it. Also my husband and children are my support pillars too and I have good people around me. I am a very hardworking woman and I have passion for my job What led you to taking that first step and setting up your own business? My mother was a business woman and I grew up learning business skills from her. Give us more insight about your chains of business. I am a childcare provider, I run schools in London, I care for the elderly and vulnerable people as well. I am into Properties and African foods. I am also a UK leading promoter of highly recognized musicians like King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal. In Nigeria I am into Education, Agriculture, Oil and Gas and Construction As a versatile entrepreneur who has invested in different business spheres, how has your experiences shaped you?. In Business it is important to have the capability to take risks. This has thought me how to be strong and be able to face business challenges as I think I have seen it all when we talk about business and I have learnt my lessons both negatively and positively. What are the competences and strategies that you believe have helped you get this far in global business space? Hardwork is the first thing then ability to face challenges then intelligence. You were recently crowned Yeye Oba of Ikosi , why did you accept such big role despite your busy schedule? I love my country and I love and respect tradition. I will have to give time out of my busy schedule for my dear country Nigeria. I am also the Iyalaje of Aramoko Ekiti. Your desire to promote Nigeria’s image in Europe through Alexes promotion, how effectiveness is it? This has been very effective and we uphold our brand with decency and good image Alexes Promotions is one of the leading promoters all over the world and not in the UK only as we are cutting across the globe through via the awareness of our great work in the entertainment industry We are hoping to have an event next year by God’s grace. What are your future goals? My future goals are to cut across the European and American entertainment industry. Then to have a yearly event in Nigeria that will cut across the globe. How did you break the glass ceiling that is often there to stop women from succeeding? I am a goal getter and I believe in God and myself. I do not settle for less and I love challenges. I also do not stop when I fail. I rise again and face the problems then at the end I succeed. This skills and strength of mine has really helped me. What distinguishes working environment in Nigeria and that of United Kingdom.? The United Kingdom is easier as everyone has to follow the channel of work to the latter but it is not like that in Nigeria. In Nigeria we don’t see business as purely business as we put sentiments. What one piece of advice would you give any aspiring female business leaders reading this? My advice to anyone going into business is to be ready to pray, be able to face challenges, be strong, do not be discouraged easily and be very hardworking because hard work pays. Thank you
