He is a renowned technocrat. The members of TAIPAN Lagos Chapter honoured him with the MAN OF THE YEAR AWARD, for his tremendous contributions in the Nigerian business environment, economic sector and entertainment industry.
In this interview, he speaks about his business, his many successes and other notable issues.
- Who is Alhaji Akeem Olanrewaju Olaniran?.
Alhaji Akeem Olanrewaju Olaniran is an entrepreneurship magnate born to the family of late Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Aremu and Alhaja Titilayo Muibat Olanrewaju of owu kingdom,
Abeokuta North Local Government Area, in 1957.
Alhaji Olanrewaju commenced his academic pursuit at Ansarudeen Primary School, Owu, and Ansarudeen Grammar School, Isaga, respectively.
He holds Advance Educational level from Bishop Aggey Secondary School Idi Araba, Lagos. He bagged a B.Sc in Accounting from the prestigious University of Lagos.
As a seasoned banker, he commenced his banking career with First Bank Plc. As a junior clerk, he earned more working experience at Union Bank before he joined Wema Bank plc, and retired from the banking career as a senior clerk.
He is married and blessed with brilliant children. - What led you to taking that first step and setting up your own business?
Let me say grace of God because at my retirement ceremony at WEMA Bank Plc, about five customers approached me to join them in
their businesses. Among them was Mrs. Olubukola Shodunke, one of Mouka Foam’s major distributors who I agreed to join her business . She promised to teach me the technical knowhow of Foam Business within six months of my staying with her. After my six months of trade apprentice on 1st of August, year 2000 to be precise, I set up my own company which is Aminyemi Industries Limited. The rest is today’s testimonies. - As Chairman of Aminyemi Group of Companies, tell us about the noble company?
All glory must return to God for the little idea that was conceived years ago which was commenced with just one single store in the year 2000, which has now grown into a group of companies that has over 17 stores and branches across the federation, especially in the south west region. (Lagos, Ibadan, Ilorin, Oshogbo, Ekiti, Akure and more….)
At Aminyemi Industries we are into sales and distribution of Foams (Bed & Pillows) of all sizes and types. We are as well into sales of Plastic Chairs, Mouka Pipes, etc.
We run Block Industries and Farms which include crop farming, Poultry, Goat rearing and Cow rearing - What are the impacts you are able to make in the Nigerian Business space.
Lots of impacts. Let me begin with employment opportunity as an instance. We are able to take huge number of our teeming youth out of the streets. We can boldly say that with the help of God , our company has more than 700 youths on our pay roll as we speak. It can only be God. - Give us more in

There is no peculiar formula in solving problems, but every business man is set out to solve problems daily, and the more you take risk and solve problems the more you progress. So taking risks and solving problems are parts of business success which move your business to the next level. - What piece of advice would you give to young business managers reading this?
Face your business and don’t be lazy.
