Hon. Pastor Mrs. Deborah Ibijoke Rufai, fondly known as FereJesu, ThePricelessAlaga, is a woman whose life blends family, faith, and professional excellence. In her early fifties, she is a devoted wife and mother of three young adults, whose lives reflect her nurturing spirit and guiding wisdom.
“Family is my anchor, my inspiration, and the reason I strive to make a difference in every area of my life,” FereJesu often shares.

FereJesu is a seasoned traditional compere of immense repute, commanding admiration at every event she hosts. She is also a distinguished private school administrator and the visionary behind transformational initiatives such as the Singles-Mingle Summit and the FereJesu School of Engagement Skills and Personal Development, where she has trained over thirty aspiring Alagas.
“Mentoring others and sharing my expertise is a responsibility I cherish,” she says, reflecting her passion for uplifting emerging talents in Nigeria and beyond.
EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH “BECOME A BETTER YOU”
One of her most impactful programs is the “Become A Better You” conference. The 2025 edition marked the 6th edition of this transformational initiative, which continues to empower women to carve their own niche in society and equipping them to become self-made leaders and change-makers.
Through motivational sessions, skill-building workshops, and practical life strategies, participants learn to identify strengths, overcome limitations, and maximize potential. Each edition draws women from all walks of life—students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and homemakers—leaving them motivated, empowered, and ready to redefine their personal and professional journeys.

ACADEMIC BRILLIANCE AND LIFELONG LEARNING
Education has always been central to FereJesu’s journey. She recently concluded studies at Nexford University, Washington D.C., USA, complementing her Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos, Akoka. She also holds a National Diploma and a first degree in Yoruba & Communication Arts from Lagos State University, Ojo, showcasing her dedication to intellectual growth and excellence.
FAITH AS A GUIDING LIGHT
Spiritually, FereJesu has been a devoted born-again child of God since November 3, 1992. She serves as an ordained minister at Harvesting Faith Ministries, Lagos, and has held leadership roles including two-term Women Coordinator of PFN Women Wing, Island Province, Lagos State.
“Faith fuels every decision I make—it gives purpose to my work and clarity to my vision,” she notes.
LEADERSHIP AND MENTORSHIP
FereJesu’s journey with the Association of Professional Wedding/Engagement Coordinators of Nigeria (APWECON) began in 2005 as secretary of Lagos Island, followed by vice-chairperson, chairperson, and ultimately 2nd Deputy Governor in 2021 and 2025. Her visionary leadership has empowered a generation of Alagas, solidifying her reputation as ThePricelessAlaga and a mentor whose influence spans Nigeria and beyond.

FereJesu is also a published author, with her book “YOU & YOUR MOTHER-IN-LAW” offering guidance, insight, and inspiration for families navigating modern relationships. Her life is a shining example of dedication, faith, and excellence—a model for aspiring professionals, leaders, and mentors.
