PRINCE OYEKAN FOUNDATION EMPOWERS ATAN COMMUNITY WITH OVER 200 ENTREPRENEURIAL GRADUATES

The Prince Oyekan Foundation has graduated over 200 students in Atan Community, equipping them with practical entrepreneurial skills to drive self-reliance and community growth.

The graduation ceremony, held at Kotosa Secondary School, Kajola Road, featured students trained in diverse fields such as Catering, Barbing, Graphics Design, and other vocational skills.

The event attracted notable dignitaries, including:

1. SP Kemi Olatunde, Divisional Crime Officer (DCO), Atan Police Division

2. CSC Olanloye Surajudeen, Head of Civil Defence, Atan Ota

3. SC Olowo, Divisional Officer, So-Safe Corps, Atan

4. Olori Ijadunade, the Olori of Lemomu Land, Atan

5. Prophetess Mary Ojuoluwa JP

They all commended the Foundation for what was described as a “humanitarian and life-changing entrepreneurial project,” while also thanking the organizers for choosing Atan as the destination for this impactful initiative.

In his remarks, Prince Oyekan urged the young graduates and beneficiaries not to take the opportunity for granted but to take full advantage of the training and embrace the positive side of the empowerment scheme. He encouraged them to apply their new skills with dedication, become job creators, and contribute meaningfully to the growth of their communities.

Also addressing the gathering, Dr. Amb. Desile Oluwafemi Ayinde, Founder of Desile Special Consult and Let Plan Africa, emphasized that success is never accidental but intentional. He noted that with focus and consistency, success becomes a low-hanging fruit within reach. He encouraged the graduates to embrace creativity, invest in personal growth, and even leverage simple tools — like a good camera — to promote their work and brand to the world. He further challenged the young entrepreneurs with a big question: “How can I take my business to the global stage?” stressing that the process begins with building a strong brand identity, going digital, telling their stories to the world, seeking partnerships, and remaining consistent.

Participants also shared their joy and gratitude.

Mr. Hassan Ismaila Olanrewaju, who trained in Barbing and Haircutting and also benefited from the Foundation’s scholarship, expressed: “Very impressive and I am happy to be here. The best you can do is to empower the young generation. I will make the best use of this opportunity and also impact the knowledge I gained here to benefit others.”

Mrs. Amudat Kareem praised the initiative, saying: “The event is very interesting. I will make the best use of the knowledge I acquired.”

Miss Lawal Karimat, recognized as the best student in the Catering Department, described it as “a good platform poised to impact knowledge and discover talents in many young minds like me.”

Mrs. Ann Edet added: “It helps, I used to sit at home until this opportunity came up. I pray God continues to bless the Foundation.”

The testimonies reflected the transformative power of the Foundation’s vision. As one participant concluded, “Prince Samuel Oyekan is highly commended for catching them young.”

The Oyekan Foundation remains open for sponsorship and support from individuals, organizations, and partners who share in its mission of empowering young people through skill acquisition and entrepreneurship. Together, we can build more opportunities, create jobs, and transform communities.

This milestone once again affirms the Prince Oyekan Foundation’s mission of raising a generation of skilled entrepreneurs capable of transforming their lives, uplifting their communities, and making an impact on the global stage.
