This rare global honor celebrates the club’s unwavering commitment to excellence, championing a rewarding member experience while embodying Rotary’s core values: Service, Fellowship, Diversity, Integrity, and Leadership. For Shomolu, these values are not mere words — they are the lifeblood of every project, fellowship, and outreach.
Signed by Stephanie A. Urchick, President of Rotary International, and Mark Daniel Maloney, Chair of The Rotary Foundation, the award is more than a certificate — it’s a badge of honor marking Shomolu’s place among Rotary’s global trailblazers.

A Year of Global-Standard Service
The honor crowns the club’s Magic Rotary Year (2024–2025) under the visionary leadership of Irresistible President Rotarian Bolatito Adewoye PHF+, the club’s 40th President (now Immediate Past President – IPP).
This Irresistibly Magical Year delivered groundbreaking service projects across key Rotary focus areas:
Maternal & Child Health Care Project — Providing dignity kits, sanitary products, and healthcare support to hundreds of girls in local schools; supporting nursing mothers at Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu Primary Health Centre. (400 sanitary towels distributed to 4 schools)
Educational Infrastructure Rehabilitation — Revamping a six-block classroom into a modern, conducive learning environment.
Environmental Sustainability Drive — Planting over 40 trees and flowering plants at Mowe Community High School, promoting a greener future.
Hygiene & Disease Prevention Facilities — Installing four functional water taps at Mowe Community High School to encourage hand washing and curb disease spread.
Polio Awareness Walk — Mobilizing the community to support Rotary’s mission to End Polio Now.
A Legacy That Inspires
For over 40 years, the Rotary Club of Shomolu has been a beacon of service, resilience, and innovation. The Club Excellence Award reflects the dedication of its members, the vision of its leadership, and the trust of the community it serves.
> “This award is for every member who has given their time, talent, and treasure to make service a lifestyle,” says IPP Adewoye. “It is proof that when we serve with passion and integrity, the world notices.”
As Shomolu basks in this global recognition, it steps confidently into the future — ready to serve above self at an even higher standard, locally, nationally, and internationally.
