Success in any arena of life comes from hard work and persistence. And then harder work and more persistence. Tobi Amusan has just proved this again in dramatic fashion. 4th in the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha and 4th in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Most would have given up after so narrowly missing out on a medal twice. But she put in the work and just won the 2022 World Athletics gold medal in the women’s 100m hurdles, smashing the world record in the process. She is Nigeria’s 🇳🇬first ever outdoor athletics world champion and world record holder.
