It was a spectacular celebration of royalty, love, culture and family as the Sedu and Amusa families came together on Saturday, 22nd August 2026, to celebrate the union of their children, Princess Abiodun Serifat Sedu and Prince Adeniyi Adeyanju Amusa.

The grand wedding ceremony took place at Bollard Event Centre, No. 1 Building, Alao Akala Expressway, Old New Garage Way, Ibadan, where family members, friends and well-wishers gathered to honour the newlyweds.
The traditional wedding commenced at 12 noon and featured a beautiful display of cherished Yoruba customs and traditions. The ceremony was anchored by the globally recommended Alaga and compere, Jide Gold Alaga, whose energetic coordination added colour and excitement to the occasion.

A BEAUTIFUL DISPLAY OF YORUBA TRADITION
One of the major highlights was the formal arrival of the groom and his entourage. Prince Adeniyi Adeyanju Amusa, accompanied by his friends dressed in elegant Agbada attire, paid homage to the bride’s family in keeping with Yoruba tradition.
With humility and respect, the groom and his entourage bowed their heads as they formally requested the hand of Princess Abiodun Serifat Sedu in marriage.

The arrival of the bride was equally captivating. Princess Abiodun made her entrance with special dancing steps, creating an atmosphere of excitement and admiration among the guests.
Following the payment of the bride price and the completion of other traditional marriage rites, the bride’s family formally presented Princess Abiodun to her husband, marking the joyful union of the two families.

ELEGANCE, ASO-EBI AND THE SPIRIT OF ONENESS
The friends of the newlyweds added glamour and colour to the celebration as they turned out beautifully dressed in elegant Aso-Ebi and Aso-Oke head ties, while the men complemented their outfits with white and blue Aso-Oke caps.
Beyond the striking appearance, the coordinated attire represented a beautiful spirit of oneness, friendship and moral support for the newly married couple.

The celebration continued immediately at the same venue with a warm and lively reception.

Enough food and assorted drinks were served as guests enjoyed melodious music, dancing and the joyful atmosphere surrounding the newlyweds.

A CAKE-CUTTING MOMENT BUILT ON FAITH
Another memorable moment came during the wedding cake-cutting ceremony. Before cutting their wedding cake, the couple jointly spelled out the name Jesus, symbolising their declaration that the foundation of their new family is firmly established on Jesus Christ.
The meaningful moment was followed by a celebratory toast and dancing, as family members, friends and well-wishers joined the couple in celebrating their new beginning.
