The celebration opened on a colourful cultural note with an impressive performance by members of the Onigbedu Oba Traditional Drummers, who took centre stage before the Islamic prayers and recitation from the Holy Quran.
The occasion witnessed the arrival of the Royal Father of the Day, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Adegbenro Ajaga Osuro Oloto (Eru Ifa 1), the Olu of Makoko, who attended alongside members of his royal cabinet
The Kabiyesi of Iwaya Kingdom also graced the ceremony and performed the official ribbon-cutting to formally mark the opening of the new residence. Almost all the chiefs from Iwaya Kingdom were present, adding traditional prestige to the celebration.
Islamic clerics offered prayers and recitations from the Holy Quran, while Christian pastors also prayed, thanking God for the blessing of the new home and seeking more blessings, protection, and prosperity for the celebrant and his family.
In a special gesture, the Kabiyesi of Iwaya Kingdom presented gifts to the Odunuga family, making the occasion even more memorable.
