Born on December 23, 1956, and called to eternal glory on April 6, 2026, Elder Deaconess Silifat Ayoka Ayodele lived a life of purpose, humility, and sacrifice. Her seventy years on earth were devoted to God, family, and humanity, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
A LEGACY BUILT ON FAITH, DISCIPLINE AND SERVICE
Born in Lagos State to Mr. and Mrs. Salami Makinde Agboola, who hailed from Ijaye, Abeokuta in Ogun State, she was the fourth of six children. She received her early education at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Primary School, Surulere, attended Molads High School, Igbobi, and later obtained her Grade II Teacher’s Certificate from the African Church Teachers Training College, Ifako-Agege.
Her passion for education saw her serve diligently as a teacher under the Mushin Local Government Area for sixteen years. Her discipline, commitment, and exceptional dedication earned her the affectionate nickname “Mummy W.A.I.” (War Against Indiscipline) while serving at Araromi Primary School. Even after voluntarily retiring from public service to venture into business, she remained committed to mentoring young people and positively impacting lives through her wisdom, compassion, and generosity.
THE HEARTBEAT OF A LOVING FAMILY
In 1977, she began a lifelong marital journey with Sunday Tayo Ayodele, building a home founded on love, faith, unity, and mutual respect. She became the pillar of the Ayodele family, rising as early as 4:30 a.m. every day to care for her household before attending to her professional responsibilities. Her home became a sanctuary of peace, hospitality, and unconditional love, where relatives, neighbours, and friends always found comfort.
Among the many blessings that defined her remarkable life was the beautiful family she lovingly nurtured. She was the proud mother of Oluwabunmi, Mojisola, Sunday, and Omowonuola, whose lives continue to reflect the values of faith, discipline, compassion, and integrity she diligently instilled in them. She was also a cherished grandmother to Eniola, Abiola, Temiloluwa, Oluwasemilore, Dayo, Oluwatamilore, Jomiloju, Zion, and Aziel, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her unconditional love, wise counsel, unwavering prayers, and sacrificial devotion made her the heartbeat of the family, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
A WOMAN WHOSE LIFE WAS ANCHORED IN CHRIST
Above every earthly accomplishment was her unwavering devotion to God. She accepted Christ at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (Jizza Branch, Egbeda) before later becoming a devoted member of Life Revival Ministry International, where she grew spiritually and was eventually ordained as an Elder Deaconess. She faithfully served as a prayer warrior, mentor, counsellor, and spiritual mother, touching countless lives through her steadfast faith, humility, and commitment to the Kingdom of God.

The two-day funeral programme commenced on Thursday, July 30, 2026, with a moving Service of Songs, where heartfelt tributes, prayers, and worship celebrated the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Late Elder Deaconess Silifat Ayoka Ayodele.
The funeral service was held on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Holy Saviour School, Isumba Road, Lafenwa, Itele-Ota, under the spiritual guidance of Life Revival Ministry International, a ministry committed to changing lives through God’s Word. Family members, friends, church leaders, associates, and well-wishers gathered from different parts of Nigeria and beyond to pay their final respects to the beloved matriarch.
Pastors, ministers of God, and the church choir were fully on ground to celebrate her remarkable legacy through inspiring prayers, worship, and soul-lifting ministrations that reflected the Christian hope of eternal life.
During the sermon, the officiating minister encouraged the family to preserve the love, unity, and godly values their late mother exemplified, reminding them that the greatest tribute to her memory is to uphold the enduring legacy of faith, compassion, and togetherness she left behind.
