The 50th Birthday Anniversary of Award-Winning Rotarian Engr. Alexander Chukwu, FNIEEE, FNSE, was far more than a birthday celebration. It was a magnificent harvest of testimonies, good deeds, glowing tributes and unforgettable moments, as family, friends, colleagues and associates gathered to celebrate a remarkable life of excellence, leadership and humanitarian service.
At 50, Engr. Chukwu stands as a remarkable testament to 50 years of God’s faithfulness—a journey defined by professional excellence, purposeful leadership, family values, friendship and a deep commitment to service to humanity.
A SPECTACULAR ENTRANCE FOR A GOLDEN CELEBRANT
The celebration commenced at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, 12th September 2026, at the beautifully decorated Condo Event Center, 1 Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The grand entrance was spectacular. The energetic sound of Ogene, performed by Igbo cultural troops, heralded the arrival of the man of the moment—the celebrant who had just attained his golden age.
Engr. Alexander Chukwu arrived with his beautiful wife and brilliant children, alongside his mother, siblings and members of the entire Chukwu Dynasty. It was a ceremonious experience as the entire hall turned blue for the celebrant, with guests elegantly dressed in the colours of the day.
A MOMENT OF THANKSGIVING & GRATITUDE
The celebration continued with an opening prayer led by a Man of God from the Redeemed Christian Church of God, setting a spiritual tone for the thanksgiving celebration.
An eye-catching brief documentary followed, offering guests a glimpse into the life, journey, achievements and personality of Engr. Alexander Chukwu.
The documentary was complemented by heartfelt tributes from selected guests and family members, who shared glowing testimonies about the celebrant. Their words reflected the admiration, respect and affection he has earned over the years.
AN AWARD-WINNING ROTARIAN MAKES A GRAND SECOND ENTRANCE
The excitement reached another level when Award-Winning Rotarian Engr. Alexander Chukwu made a second grand entrance, dressed elegantly in blue—the colour of the day.
Accompanied by grand thanksgiving songs, the celebrant was warmly welcomed by family and friends, who joined him in celebrating this remarkable milestone.
The atmosphere instantly transformed into celebration galore, with music, excitement and joyful fellowship taking centre stage.
GIFTS, PHOTOGRAPHS & THE GOLDEN CAKE MOMENT
The celebration continued with the presentation of gifts to the celebrant, followed by memorable group photographs that captured the beautiful moments shared by family, friends, colleagues and associates.
Then came one of the most anticipated moments of the day—the cutting of the birthday cake.
Surrounded by his lovely family, Engr. Alexander Chukwu stood before the magnificent birthday cake as the countdown reached 50. At the count of 50, the celebrant cut the cake amid loud cheers, congratulations and joyful birthday wishes from everyone present.
It was a beautiful moment that symbolised not just another year, but five remarkable decades of God’s faithfulness.
A FEAST OF DELICACIES & GENEROUS SOUVENIRS
No celebration of this magnitude would be complete without a sumptuous feast.
Guests were treated to a rich variety of delicious delicacies, including Asun, Pepper Soup and smoked fish, alongside an assortment of cold drinks, soft drinks, wine and beer.
Adding another memorable touch to the celebration, bags of souvenirs were presented to guests as tokens of appreciation for sharing in the celebrant’s special day.
WHEN THE DANCE FLOOR CAME ALIVE
As the celebration gradually approached its grand finale, the dance floor became the centre of attraction.
Family, friends and guests joined the celebrant in an energetic display of joy as the venue came alive with dance, dance and more dance.
It was truly a celebration galore—a fitting conclusion to a golden birthday celebration filled with thanksgiving, laughter, music, tributes, gifts, food, friendship and unforgettable memories.
